Meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of the month in January through October. Our November and December meetings are combined and held on the first Saturday in December. Quilt-A-Fair is held in September, in lieu of that month's meeting. Due to a conflict with the Memorial Day holiday, in some years our May meeting is held on the third Saturday. May 17, 2008 in Golden Phil Beaver “Finding Your Own Signature in Quilting, Part One ” Phil Beaver discovered quilts and quilt shows by chance in 2000. Some of his first quilting attempts followed soon after that, but he became serious and more productive as a quilter and quilt teacher in 2003. As of January 2006, he had produced ten large quilts and won 59 major awards, including nine Best of Show awards, in the most major quilt shows in the world. His work and quilting accomplishments have been featured in over 50 related magazine publications. Join Phil Beaver for an hour slide lecture as he takes you back to an earlier time. You will hear how chapters of his life became quilts that began with his childhood and continue to the present. This lecture is especially geared for quilters who have a desire to break away from others' patterns and design pieces that are uniquely their own. Even those who are certain they can't draw or create their own designs will learn ways to solve that problem and move on to levels of quilting that will individualize their work. Phil Beaver teaches his quilting and fabric painting techniques all over the United States and Canada. Visit www.philbeaver.com and click on Travelogue to see the wonderful quilts his students have produced in his workshops.

Pueblo July 26, 2008 in Evergreen Bonnie Hunter “Scrap Users System” July Workshop with Bonnie Hunter If you love scrap quilts, you won’t want to miss the fun of making a Pineapple Blossom using 2" strips and 3-1/2" squares. This quilt is related more towards the "geese in the corner" style of log cabin, than it is a true pineapple block, because the triangle corners are only sewn to two opposite diagonal sides. It still has that pineapple punch though, and it works up into a pretty quilt! See Bonnie’s website at www.quiltville.com. Confirmation and supply list will be emailed or mailed (if you do not have email) to you. Click here to download a registration form and to see a class sample. August
